I posted photos because I was stressed about the red tip of my nose and the white area at the tip that I couldn't tell was scar tissue or visible cartilage, and I'm posting anonymously as Qnnn. The other day I went to consultations at 4 places, [Clinic A], [Clinic B], [Clinic C], and [Clinic D], but after going I'm even more confused. Everyone, please take a look and tell me what you think.
-[Clinic A] After looking at the photos after surgery, they said I had had nasal tip necrosis. They said it would be hard to get rid of the redness and white area even if I had surgery. 1) Open Bridge: remove silicone -> dermal implant (Megaderm) Tip: lower the columella strut + buttock dermis lower the columella (ear cartilage) alar reduction + nostril plasty + alar base up -> 11 million won 2) If you exclude alar reduction + nostril plasty + alar base up -> 8.6 million won (The alar reduction + nostril plasty + alar base up were recommended by the doctor, but since the price is high, I may leave them out if I go ahead.)
The doctor spent the most time on my consultation here, explained everything really well, and was kind.
-[Clinic B] Too confident. They said it was an easy surgery and that the scar would get better if I had surgery. 1) Remove nasal implant + lower the tip + autologous dermis + AlloDerm on the bridge 550 or 2) Remove the whole nose implant set + AlloDerm on the bridge 495 or 3) Functional nose surgery (inferior turbinate) 100 Option 1 + Option 3 = total 650 Option 2 + Option 3 = total 595
The doctor was very confident here, but the manager was mechanical, the atmosphere felt like a factory-style dermatology clinic, and I didn't really trust it.. That is purely my subjective judgment.
-[Clinic C] They said the tip had developed a step. No signs of inflammation. They said the white part was cartilage pushing through. They said the redness and white area would not disappear even if I had surgery. 1) Full removal 600 (when disclosed) + 250 extra if Megaderm (bridge, step) is done Price includes tax Remove all adhesions, reposition cartilage
The doctor was the type to only say what was necessary, but the manager was really detailed, professional, and even kind.
-[Clinic D] Of the three places above, all did CT scans, but only here did they examine me with ultrasound. They said contracture was progressing. It would become visibly raised within 1 to 2 years. If I decide on surgery, they would decide after the consultation whether to leave the septal support or not. They said the rest would be fully removed and then Megaderm would be inserted. They said the scar would improve if I received oxygen therapy.
Silicone removal, capsule removal, and whether to use the septum would be decided after opening the nose + Megaderm 500
Based on price, I would go with [Clinic D], but there are no review photos here and I saw comment manipulation on another cafe, so I'm not drawn to it.. After the consultations, I'm drawn to [Clinic A] and [Clinic C], but my original nose is low and I have a bulbous nose, so I don't want everything removed. I want to put in Megaderm at least, but I've seen a lot of posts saying it gets absorbed and becomes bumpy, so I'm really torn.. Anyone who had Megaderm on the bridge, how is it now? Anyone who had buttock dermis on the tip? Is there anyone with a bulbous nose who had the whole tip removed and only Megaderm inserted in the bridge? Please give me any advice, anything at all T_T
