After the surgery, breathing became even harder, and when I recently got examined at another hospital, they said it looked like a lot of the nasal valve had been cut away. Before surgery and after surgery, I was never told that the nasal valve would be cut, but after looking into it more, I found information saying that this can happen when the nasal septum is manipulated, or when the nasal bridge bones are osteotomized to narrow the nose and the nasal valve is affected during that process. Both apply to me.... But the hospital only said, "The nasal valve is not resected," and it seems they can’t send more detailed surgical information over KakaoTalk about whether it was touched during procedures like osteotomy or septal extension. Anyway, what I want to know is: if the nasal valve was cut and became narrowed, could revision surgery or removal to lower it again make the nasal valve widen back out a bit too? If anyone has experience, or has even heard about it through someone else, please share any information... I just want to be able to breathe.
