Every time I looked in the mirror, my biggest concern was the hump. It was especially stressful when taking side-profile photos, because the bridge looked uneven and did not give a refined impression. My nose tip was also a little blunt, so overall my face looked somewhat dull.
The director explained that it would be more natural not to just shave down the hump by itself, but to look at the bridge line and the tip together so that they would suit the proportions of my face.
I wanted a natural style rather than a dramatic nose, and the director also recommended a direction that would balance with my face, smooth out the hump, improve the bulbous-nose impression, and create a softly connected line instead of simply making it higher.
So I had an implant, hump correction, osteotomy, bulbous-nose correction, and autologous costal cartilage surgery.
Now it has been two months, and what I am happiest about is that the hump is gone! Before, the side line looked like it had a sudden bend, but now it flows naturally from the bridge to the tip, so photos come out much cleaner haha
The bulbous-nose impression was also refined at the same time, and the tip looks much more organized. Since osteotomy was done as well, the overall nose line feels slimmer too.
What I especially like is that it does not look like I had surgery. People seeing me for the first time say it looks like I already had a pretty nose, so I am even more satisfied.
I asked for it to be as natural as possible, and I think the director reflected that request very well! I used to avoid taking side-profile photos, but these days I actually like my side angle more.
