Doctor, I was wondering whether the Korea University College of Medicine textbook on septal necrosis lists inflammation as the only cause! At the hospitals I had consulted with before, they explained the various possibilities and causes in detail, but the doctors who were alumni of the previous hospital all said, without exception, “It’s almost always due to inflammation if anything,” which left me a bit taken aback. In particular, I told them that my test results showed it was not inflammation, but I never got a more detailed explanation, even after asking whether they had actually looked at the test sheet with their own eyes. Other hospitals gave me much more specific explanations about my condition.. I hope this helps those who are looking into it, and I would like to note that this is an opinion based on my personal experience. And the plan they proposed, autologous costal cartilage for the nasal bridge, is something I decided to be more cautious about personally because I was worried about side effects.
