Around 2017, I had one wisdom tooth extracted, wore braces for about a year and a half, and now I’m maintaining the results with a retainer. Before starting, I was worried about whether the results would hold well afterward, but based on my experience so far, I think it depends on how consistently you wear your retainer. So far, my teeth have stayed well maintained without shifting back. If someone said they were going to get orthodontic treatment, I’d recommend it!
