Why I only had double eyelid surgery for my first operation: 1. It was my first surgery, so I did not want to increase the risk burden. 2. I was told my eyes were fine with just double eyelid surgery. 3. I wanted nothing more than just a double eyelid, with no greed. The hospital also said OK, and I wanted only a double eyelid procedure too, so that was what I went ahead with. But about a year after surgery, those extra crease lines started to appear more and more, right? At the time, I was living a routine of waking up early for work and getting off late at night, and because of that I thought it was just due to fatigue... I never imagined that the surgery itself may not have been suitable from the start. My body could not keep up, so I quit work and rested well for a few weeks. My condition improved, but the double folds did not disappear, so I first thought there was a problem. I went back to the hospital where I had the first surgery and asked, and they said the fixation was not weak and there did not seem to be any particular problem, but... suddenly they said my eye-opening habit seemed to be the cause;; They said they could do a revision, but that I would have to pay AS fees, anesthesia costs, revision costs, and everything else, so I felt I could not trust them and started looking around for revision consults again. What shocked me at that point, lol, was that when I visited hospitals for revision consultations, eye-specialty hospitals told me something completely different. They said the fixation issue was secondary, and that the main problem was the fat in my eyelids. They said I needed fat repositioning, and that where there was no fat, fat grafting should be done as well. Two places told me this, and the reason I chose VN among them was that only Director Kim Taehoon noticed that my double eyelid lines were asymmetrical... He said this was not the kind of eye that would improve with surgery alone, and that he would do upper eyelid fat repositioning plus fat grafting together while also correcting the asymmetry. After listening to the explanation and marking out the lines with the director, it really made sense. He said my eyes were the kind that should have been treated that way from the very first surgery, and I felt completely deflated... I regretted so much having surgery at a large hospital without really looking into it If you have sunken eyelids and thin skin like me, definitely consider this surgery too.. Since I wanted proper surgery even now, I paid the deposit at VN and had the surgery, and the double eyelid was redone with an incision method. If I split recovery into three main points: 1. Because it was an incision, the swelling was not necessarily severe. After about a week, opening my eyes became easier and I could go about daily life without difficulty. 2. Because of the fat repositioning and fat grafting, my upper eyelids felt a little puffy? But that did not last long. 3. Fixing the asymmetry of the line was the best move of all.. Once the swelling went down, I successfully ended up with a natural in-out line. Even while I was shopping around for a revision, the first hospital kept contacting me nonstop, but I just told the manager I would not be having the surgery and blocked all contact lol There is so much talk these days about lawsuits and all that, so I will not name the place, but... if you also want surgery at the right place, I think the key is to visit many clinics and get diagnosed at a place with a doctor who specializes in eyes. And reviews should only be used as a reference. You need to go for a consultation and judge whether their opinion really matches yours, including the aesthetic you want and the surgical method, before deciding. Reviews are all subjective and can never match my opinion 100%... After going through revision surgery too, I really understand that. In any case, if you have time, definitely visit many clinics and compare.
