It has been some time since the surgery, and now that the swelling has gone down, I wanted to leave a review. To start with the conclusion, I am quite satisfied.Originally, my eyes had a double crease and the distance between my eyes was a little wide, so when I took photos people often said I looked sleepy or dazed. But going fully monolid felt like it would change my image too much, so I spent a lot of time thinking about a direction that would look as natural and clear as possible.I went to several consultations, but there were not many places that looked closely at the characteristics of male eyes. Some places drew the line too dramatically or strongly recommended excessive canthoplasty. What mattered most to me was, “I want to keep a masculine feel, but just make my expression look more refined.”In the end, I had surgery with Dr. Lee Seok-hyeon at [Clinic A], and I underwent incisional double-eyelid surgery + ptosis correction + inner canthoplasty. From the consultation before surgery, he looked very carefully at my eye-opening strength, the cause of my double crease, and my skin thickness, and the result after surgery feels exactly in that direction. Rather than making the line look very obvious, it feels like my original eyes were simply tidied up? Because the line was set low in an in-line style, people around me often said, “Something looks sharper, but I can’t really tell what was done.” That was exactly what I wanted. In particular, after the ptosis correction, the sleepy look improved a lot, and the inner canthoplasty was also done without being excessive, so the feeling of the eyes being too close together was naturally balanced. I am very satisfied because it does not have that “male eyes that obviously had surgery” look.I was also given careful follow-up for swelling management and progress checks, and when I had questions, they explained things well. It still needs more time to settle fully, but so far I am satisfied. For anyone like me who has male eyes and worries about double creases or looking sleepy, or anyone who wants a natural improvement in impression rather than an overly flashy line, I think it would be worth getting a consultation.
