About 20 years ago I had just the silicone along the bridge placed through a closed method (and I had filler once after that). If I only remove it, the clinics I consulted at, [Clinic A] and [Clinic B], recommended closed removal. ([Clinic A] said that since the original surgery was closed, it would be a waste to open it, and they said the old filler would probably be almost gone.) At [Clinic C], they said they would do an open removal, and on ultrasound they could see some filler still left near the tip. Which do you prefer more, closed or open? I already had consultations for removal and revision and got estimates for everything, but now I’m even more undecided about whether I should only remove it or also lay Megaderm on the bridge. My original bridge is low, so after the consultations my decision paralysis got even worse At [Clinic B], I also got an estimate for silicone revision, but [Clinic C] said silicone revision was not possible. [Clinic A] also said they would use autologous dermis for the bridge. Now I only have the consultation at [Clinic D] left, so I think I’ll need to decide after going there. It looks like there are a lot of people besides me who still can’t decide. What would be the best decision, sigh. The prices are all different at each hospital, so it’s even harder. Did you all show photos of your original nose before the consultation and then get seen?
