Autologous costal cartilage maintains the best, right?

I had all the septal cartilage and ear cartilage that were previously in my nasal tip removed and had revision surgery with autologous costal cartilage I thought material from my own body would be better than donated costal cartilage and I had worried about the scar too, but the director reassured me by saying he would pay attention to the incision length so I went with autologous costal cartilage, and fortunately so far my nasal tip hasn’t lifted and made it look short, and the shape hasn’t deformed or anything; it’s maintaining I did it because they said autologous costal cartilage is the firmest and maintains well For everyone who used autologous costal cartilage, is it still maintaining well over time?
