Having a big nose is a complex of mine, and I am also the kind of person who is extremely afraid of having implants inserted into the nose.. So I decided to make as little change as possible and get osteotomy so that even a small change would help. People kept saying it was incredibly painful.. But honestly, I was so confused that I wondered whether I really had surgery at all. Until the splint came off, I did not feel any pain! It was strangely painless.. I even wondered whether the surgery had been done properly?! Someone even said it was so painful they wanted to break a window and jump out lol. Anyway, mine went really well with almost no pain, and it has been 3 to 4 years now and I am doing very well. I have no side effects at all, which is great!! People do not even realize I had anything done haha. That means the change was not huge, but even 0.001 of a change is meaningful enough for me. I believe the doctor did a good job, which is why it did not hurt much haha. I am also satisfied with the non-incisional alar reduction! The only uncomfortable thing was that they kept recommending and pushing silicone nose surgery and filler until I left the hospital, so I firmly declined.. I think they should focus more on meeting the patient's needs rather than pushing too hard.
