I had a consultation for chin-underbite surgery. The consultation process itself was the same as at other clinics. They took a CT scan, asked what face shape I wanted, explained how they would perform the surgery, and asked whether I had any questions. But maybe the doctor was tired, or maybe that is just their style, because they did not proactively explain what kinds of side effects could occur with these kinds of operations. You will probably need to have a proper understanding of the surgery in order to decide a lot of the surgical direction during the consultation.
