Partial-incision double eyelid surgery 10 years ago (listen to your doctor)

<Taken right after getting eyelash extensions, so my eyes were swollen><A photo showing my usual double eyelid look; my outer eye corners look lifted because of the angle>Back when I was in high school, 10 years ago, I wore double eyelid glue every day to the point that I wouldn’t even go out in front of my house without it. My mom said she was burning up inside seeing me clutching double eyelid glue in front of the mirror every morning, so she let me get surgery. I wanted the kind of inner double eyelid look you get from double eyelid glue, but during the consultation, the doctor said if I did that, I’d be back within a few years lol He said my horizontal eye length wasn’t short, so a slightly larger line would suit me better. I worried it might look too intense, but I trusted the expert and left it to him.. It’s been so long that I don’t have early photos, but for the first month or two? I was stressed because there was still residual swelling and my eyes looked rather intense. But as time passed, the swelling obviously went down, and I liked the shape of the line too. These days, of course, there are many people whose double eyelid surgery doesn’t look obvious, but I think mine ended up suiting my face so well that people wouldn’t know I had surgery unless I told them. I’ve also thought that if I had gone thinner, I probably wouldn’t have been satisfied and would have had revision surgery.. Anyway, unless you have something you definitely want!! I do think experts really have a good eye … For reference, the clinic I went to (in a regional area) was in an old building 10 years ago, but they’ve since put up a new building … haha.
