Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

It’s been a long time, but here’s my incisional double eyelid surgery review!

Both photos are after double eyelid surgery! The top photo is from before, and the bottom one is recent   I had it done in my senior year of high school as soon as I got accepted into university.. I’m already in my mid-20s now, haha, but I’m leaving this here in case it helps I didn’t shop around at all and just got a referral from a classmate whose results turned out really well, then did it right away.... lol... I kind of regret that now.. I’m just moderately satisfied with the results~ I remember taking my exam admission ticket and getting it done really cheaply, in the low 1 million KRW range..?

To describe my eyes, I often heard that my eyes were big. I have a lot of visible sclera. One side had a double eyelid and the other side didn’t. I always used double eyelid tape and glue a lot, so the skin was on the saggy side. I wanted buried-suture double eyelid surgery, but they said it wasn’t possible. Then I said I wanted an outline crease, but they said that wasn’t possible either. So we decided on an incisional in-out line. And ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ this is something I kind of regret, but they recommended medial epicanthoplasty.. I like a gentle-looking impression, and with medial epicanthoplasty.. I was worried my eyes might look a bit too close together. So I said, ah, I won’t do that.. But they said the inner corners had to be opened that way for the eyes to look clear and refreshed. (In the end, I gave in..^^)

Things I’m satisfied with First of all, it’s true that it turned out natural enough that people around me don’t know I had double eyelid surgery. There was really almost no swelling, and there weren’t any particular issues either! I still often hear that my eyes are big. When I take close-up shots, they look naturally glamorous, so I’m satisfied with the shape itself.

Things I’m dissatisfied with Because of the medial epicanthoplasty, my eyes look a bit close together. So I always use Photoshop to space my eyes farther apart ㅠ It’s honestly something I can just live with.. But if I could go back to the past, I don’t think I would have gone to a clinic where medial epicanthoplasty was necessary. And they said my eyelid-opening strength was good, so I didn’t get ptosis correction, but now opening my eyes actually feels a bit heavy.. Maybe because of the medial epicanthoplasty, my aegyo-sal suddenly became much less noticeable. It used to be plump even when I was just still, but now it only appears when I smile. When I’m spacing out, I look sleepy. (That never happened before ㅠ) In winter, my eyes get dry and tears keep streaming down? (This also didn’t happen before)

I wrote this so grandly, but.. To sum it up, there are some minor inconveniences, but it’s at the level where I feel like I could just overlook them and live with it for the rest of my life~

Something roughly like that?? I hope this helps~
