It has been almost 30 years since I had surgery with L-shaped silicone. My nasal bridge is crooked and my nostrils are extremely asymmetric, so I want to have it removed as soon as possible. One clinic says that removal will leave me with an upturned nose and that the nasal-tip support needs to be rebuilt with septal or ear cartilage; another even suggested putting silicone back in. For reference, I am so worried about side effects that I do not plan to use materials such as Gore-Tex, so I would prefer not to use silicone either. I also do not want autologous rib cartilage or donor rib cartilage. If I absolutely have to undergo revision surgery, I will only use cartilage for the nasal tip. If the contraction of the nasal soft tissue is severe, I will just use silicone. I am prepared for that much. Please share actual surgery reviews or similar experiences.

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoSep 10 The more reviews I look up, the more indecisive I become
The more reviews I look up, the harder it is to decide. Ugh, maybe it is because nowhere really feels right. Should I visit more places for consultations? Aaaahhh.

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoSep 10 Contracture after total removal
Does contracture always occur after removal? The tip and bridge of my nose were both red, so I went for a removal consultation. [Doctor A] said it should improve with removal and that it was not a severely abnormal condition. But posts in…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoSep 10 Going for my final revision consultation tomorrow
If the septal cartilage used for my first surgery is still left in my nasal tip, I am deliberating over whether to reuse and preserve it. I think I need to decide this clearly before I go so the consultation can be straightforward T_T If I

It has been ten days since my first rhinoplasty. While disinfecting it today, I saw something white; when I looked closely, cartilage about half the size of my pinky nail was visible. I think it probably appeared yesterday… It is not…
