It has been ten days since my first rhinoplasty. While disinfecting it today, I saw something white; when I looked closely, cartilage about half the size of my pinky nail was visible. I think it probably appeared yesterday… It is not merely showing through; it seems completely exposed. This is cartilage exposure, right…? In person, the white cartilage-like area looks clearer and larger. Even if they trim a little cartilage and suture it again, I think it will perforate the mucous membrane again anyway, so I want to either have the silicone removed or undergo revision surgery. Cartilage exposure should be covered by aftercare, right…?
