Hello! As the title says, someone I know had an excellent surgery result at [Clinic A], and after seeing that, I ended up having surgery with Director Shin at the same clinic! I am already entering my seventh month! These days, when I look at old photos, I realize that my facial asymmetry before surgery was quite noticeable~! haha
In my case, facial asymmetry began to stand out more and more after I entered middle school, and it remained an ongoing complex for me from then on. Then, during a dental checkup, I was told that I had malocclusion and might need surgical orthodontic treatment, so I began seriously looking into double-jaw surgery~!
After researching several places and having consultations, I chose [Clinic A], and it has already been about seven months since my surgery with Dr. Shin Hee-jin! I first learned about [Clinic A] after hearing that an acquaintance had surgery there and was satisfied. Since it was surgery, though, I looked into several other oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics instead of deciding based on just one place. At [Clinic A], they did not begin the consultation immediately; they first took dental impressions, then consulted with the oral surgeon based on those materials, followed by a consultation with the orthodontist!
Even though it took a little longer, I felt they were establishing a surgical and orthodontic treatment plan while checking my teeth and bite one by one, which gave me confidence. haha Also, the consultant explained that CCTV was installed, including in the operating room, and that immediate family members could view it directly; this also influenced my decision to choose the clinic! I am now seven months after double-jaw surgery, and much of the residual swelling has gone down. It seems to be the time when my facial muscles and soft tissues are gradually settling into place as well~!
Until a month or two ago, certain expressions sometimes felt a little awkward when I used the muscles around my mouth, but that is hardly the case these days! Still, I was told that the muscles and soft tissues continue to settle until around one year, so I am calmly watching the remaining recovery process~!!! I can barely remember my preoperative face now, but when I see old photos, I am satisfied because I can really feel how much the facial asymmetry has been corrected! As the residual swelling has gone down, my facial contour has also adhered much more closely than before!! Since it is still only month seven, I am looking forward to seeing how it settles by around the one-year mark. haha
