It’s already been 3 months since my nose surgery! Even when I was writing my 1- to 2-month review, I checked the swelling every week and worried over every little thing, like when the awkwardness when making facial expressions would go away… But now that I’m at 3 months, it looks so natural, like it’s just my own nose, that I hardly think about it! Even the slight residual swelling I had at 1–2 months is completely gone, and the line from the nasal bridge to the tip looks much sharper and slimmer!
The firmness and slight pulling sensation at the nasal tip that I felt right after surgery have now completely disappeared, and it’s amazing how soft and flexible the ear cartilage feels lol. Even when I smile broadly or make various expressions, the tip moves freely without lifting or any foreign-body sensation, so it’s really comfortable! When washing my face or removing makeup too, I’m just living comfortably without thinking about it, like before surgery lol.
What I wanted most was not an obviously artificial, glamorous nose, but a harmonious, naturally defined nose that fit my facial proportions perfectly. Once my previously sunken, plain, and blunt-looking nasal bridge was shaped into a slim, smooth line, my whole face looked so much more dimensional! Bringing together the nostrils and nasal tip, which had looked round and spread out from the front, neatly with ear cartilage made my features look much clearer and more refined. I especially love the 45-degree and side profiles! The tip is not overly pointed; it falls softly, so there are no unflattering angles when taking photos lol. These days I’m so satisfied because I do not even need to slim my nose with a retouching app when taking selfies T_T.
When I consulted with Dr. Chuseongcheol at [Clinic A], he focused on creating the line I wanted rather than simply making it higher, so I decided to have my nose surgery there, and it was truly a great choice! Thanks to his careful use of ear cartilage to create a shape suited to my facial-feature proportions without being excessive, people keep telling me, “Why have you gotten so pretty lately?” and “Your features look so much clearer.” But unless I tell them I had surgery, no one notices that I had anything done to my nose—it looks that natural! It almost feels like a waste of all the time I spent being stressed about my plain nasal bridge and spread-out nasal tip before surgery, and deliberating over whether it would look obvious lol. As I experienced the swelling go down and the nose settle naturally into my face over time, I realized once again that a good surgeon’s aesthetic sense and time are the answers when it comes to nose surgery!
