I even got asked for my number after jaw surgery, haha.. Amazing

Six months after double-jaw surgery plus two contouring procedures (square jaw and chin), I finally feel like I have found my real face, lol. Hello, it has already been six months since my surgery at [Clinic A]. Even when I wrote my three-month review, there was still swelling, so it did not feel complete yet. But at the half-year mark, I can really feel that almost all the swelling is gone. Even longtime friends now say it seems like the swelling has really all gone down. The thing I hear most these days is that I look younger. I almost never used to get asked for ID, but after surgery, I get my ID checked almost every time I go out for drinks. At first it was a little embarrassing, but now I just smile and show it. As my facial contours became more refined, my overall impression feels much more natural. This was a change I truly did not expect: before surgery, almost no one asked for my Instagram or phone number. But after six months, a younger person asked for my Instagram and number. In that moment, I realized anew how much I had been feeling self-conscious because of my jaw. Now I smile and talk in front of people much more confidently than before. I also have absolutely no discomfort with eating now. I eat everything I want without avoiding hard or chewy foods, and I can exercise without difficulty, so I have been working out quite intensely lately. It is everyday life I could not even imagine right after surgery, and looking back, I only think how fortunate it is that I endured that difficult period well. At three months, I was cautious because the bones were still settling, but now at six months there are truly no restrictions on my daily life. If anyone is deliberating because of malocclusion or asymmetry, I recommend making a decision without hesitating. I feel that this surgery changed not only my face, but my confidence itself.
