Nose Surgery Reviews

I had revision surgery because my nasal bridge spread and became lower

It had been about five years since my first surgery. I used only ear cartilage for the nasal-tip material, but I heard it is uncommon to use ear cartilage alone because of drooping?? I did not know.... I found out later and let it pass, thinking nothing would be wrong. But at the five-year mark, my nasal bridge spread and the overall line became lower, so I rushed to look into revision surgery. I thought: if I use my remaining ear cartilage, will I be back on the operating table in another five years? Is there no way to prevent that? People often use rib cartilage for revision surgery. Among those options, I heard autologous costal cartilage is the firmest and lasts the longest, but it leaves a scar near the ribs? For women, it would be in a spot that is not very visible unless they wear very revealing clothing, but as a man, I often take my shirt off at pools, so I felt it would be visible in many situations. I worried a ton even before going for a consultation lol. Anyway, after consultations and estimates, most doctors said it would be best to use autologous costal cartilage, so I chose a place with many reviews saying they keep the incision as small as possible and leave less scarring. I had the surgery, and now the scar is not very visible unless someone stares at the rib area lol. So after the surgery, I have gone to the pool as much as I wanted without worry lol. I made the big decision to have surgery with autologous costal cartilage because I want the result to last a long time, so I really hope it lasts.... Right now it still feels firmly supported and does not seem likely to get lower, but you never know...^^ lol Sensation in my nasal tip returned more slowly than after my first surgery, but because tissue that had already been operated on was disturbed once more, I think that could not be helped. Overall recovery was slower than before too, but judging only by the final result, I like the revision-surgery line much more.
