Nose Surgery Reviews

One-month bulbous nose surgery review (autologous costal cartilage + silicone)

My main concern was my bulbous nose, which became especially wide when I smiled, so the change I wanted most was to reduce the width of my nose from the front. For the side profile, I wanted a rounded columella with a straight-to-slightly-curved line rather than one that was too straight. I looked into various clinics, received recommendations from acquaintances, and attended consultations, but Dr. Kim Hyun-joo’s nose shapes seemed to best fit my needs, so I chose [Clinic A]. Both the coordinator and the doctor were kind during the consultation, so I decided on this place! Because this was my first nose surgery, I had many concerns and took some time to decide, but my assigned coordinator, Ahn Hyun-joo, answered me kindly, which I appreciated. After the consultation, they considered even the angles of my jaw and forehead when discussing the height. I underwent nasal bone osteotomy, silicone for the bridge, alar reduction (medial), and rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip. After surgery, the nasal packing was uncomfortable for about a day. With the autologous rib cartilage, I was surprised that there was no pain other than soreness when coughing until about day two. Overall, there was little swelling and the line turned out as I wanted, and friends who had nose surgery said it turned out well, which made me happy haha.. It has been a month, and I can definitely see the swelling going down, so I am looking forward to seeing how it looks once it subsides further! I also liked that the doctor personally made the nasal splint and took care with it!!
