I have 4.5 mm silicone in the nasal bridge plus donor rib cartilage, and they said it was raised a lot compared with my original nose… It has been a little over six weeks since surgery! Recently, pus collected around the nasal septum? On the side where the donor rib cartilage was placed, so I went to the operating clinic to have the pus drained, received antibiotic injections, and am taking oral antibiotics… They said it is inflammation, and that if the inflammation reaches the septum, the entire nose implant has to be removed, T_T. My whole nose sometimes aches and feels like it is throbbing, T_T. The glabella area, where the nasal bridge silicone begins, aches too, and the entire bridge aches as well… I usually do not pay much attention to pain, so I ignored the aching, but after going to the hospital because of the pus, I react sensitively to even small pains, T_T. If inflammation occurs like mine, does antibiotic treatment always make it better? They say nasal pain occurs occasionally and continues; is that true? Or does it seem like an inflammatory response? It also seems like the nasal-tip cartilage is showing through; if cartilage shows through, could there be a possibility of contracture? Please see whether cartilage show-through is visible. Or could this be a rejection reaction side effect because the place where pus collected has donor rib cartilage? This is my first surgery, T_T. Please advise.
