Review after visiting ㅅㄱ in Apgujeong in person Consultation area: cheekbone, 1 area CT cost: 20,000 won Waiting time: about 15 minutes at the counter + 10 minutes waiting for the director
My face shape isn’t square-jawed, and my chin tip is fairly okay, so my cheekbones were always my only complex. I only looked into cheekbone surgery and applied for a consultation at the event application price. It was my first consultation clinic for facial contouring, but I’ve had dozens of petit procedures, and about a month ago I also went around to several clinics for eye canthoplasty consultations. But compared with those clinics, even though this place took a CT, the explanation was extremely short.
I went into the consultation room and had a consultation with the manager, and first of all the manager bragged a lot about the clinic and the director. I can accept that, but normally even if it’s the manager, I think the first thing should be to talk about the area I mentioned. But they kept bragging about the clinic: no ghost surgery, no simultaneous surgeries, where the anesthesiology director was from, and so on. Then, while talking about another clinic (they actually named it), they said places like that are large hospitals with crowds of people and it can be hard to designate the representative director, but our clinic isn’t like that. Rather than looking confident, it looked like they lacked confidence.. Why praise your own clinic that much, even naming other clinics, to a customer who came for a consultation at your clinic.. From that point on, I just felt my transportation cost and consultation waiting time were a waste. After talking on and on about themselves, they asked me what cost I had in mind. I had gone after seeing the event price (late 2 million won range), so I told them that.
They shamelessly pretended to be surprised and said that wouldn’t work. They said it would be at least in the 4 million won range. They said that event price involved full-face disclosure, portrait rights for 5 years, reviews, and so on, but the way they said it so shamelessly was absurd. So I asked, then do you tell every customer who comes after seeing that event, like me, that it’s in the 4 million won range, and who exactly does that event price apply to? Then without batting an eye, they said it was for 2D cheekbone reduction and didn’t apply to me. They said I also needed my lateral cheekbones treated and that my cheekbones weren’t suitable for quick cheekbone reduction either. Anyway, then they brought in the director. The director looked tired and was older than I expected. After looking at my CT images, they said exactly two things. The cheekbones protrude, but the face gets slimmer toward the lower face, so this is a face shape that would get a good effect if done. The surgery proceeds by cutting the bone like this and fixing it like this. That was it. I wondered if this was really a plastic surgery clinic, saying exactly two things after looking at the CT images. I’ve also read online consultation reviews so far, and for other people, the director usually talks for at least about 10 minutes? about deep cheek fat, cortical osteotomy, and so on. At this clinic, maybe they judged I wasn’t a customer who would bring in money, because they said only exactly two things. And this may be an issue with my personality, but I really hate when someone talks casually to me on a first meeting, and while speaking, they subtly mixed in casual speech ;
I’ve visited all kinds of clinics for eye canthoplasty and rhinoplasty consultations, but this was the first clinic where the money felt this wasted and the attitude was this bad, so I felt bad to the point of being taken aback. Also, for surgical consultations, even if I say out of courtesy, “I’ll think about it and contact you,” the managers usually all give me their business cards, so I receive them, but here they didn’t even give me a business card. So at the end of the consultation, I felt ignored.
As someone who gets around on foot, transportation was inconvenient too (you have to walk 12 minutes after coming out of the station). Whether they’re good at surgery or not, even if they don’t do ghost surgery, I didn’t want to get surgery at a clinic with such a poor attitude. Suddenly, while walking down the street, I remembered the CT and called to ask if I could receive the CT scan they took. They said an additional 10,000 won fee would apply.
People who want to go will still go, but I’m not going. For my next clinic visits, I’m considering ㅇㅇㅇ, ㅇㅇㅂ, and ㅇㅍㅅㅌ... I really wanted to go to ㅇㅊ at least once, but they said consultations are only available from March, so I couldn’t even book one.
