Hi everyone•••! I came back with reviews of the clinics I visited before my first double-eyelid surgery! Now that I’ve decided on a clinic, I feel so relieved ㅋㅌㅋㅋㅌ
I went to a total of 8 places, And the reason I visited so many was a mix of things like price, reviews, and just not getting the right vibe, etc.!
Before sharing my clinic reviews, please keep in mind that these are entirely personal opinions and subjective impressions. I’d appreciate it if you read with that in mind!

• ㅋㄹㅁ Consultation reservation: 1/28, 3:00 PM - consultation fee X / clinic very clean [Consultation details] Coordinator > doctor > coordinator ~Coordinator consultation~ I couldn’t write it down, don’t remember But the coordinator was calm.. elegant, but with a cold vibe ~Doctor consultation~ Consulted without taking off my mask Scar tissue > laser is possible too, but it’s not typical for scar tissue to be left behind Because my eyes are close-set, I shouldn’t open the inner corner Semi-out XXX, he said absolutely no semi-out because it would make the space between my eyes look narrow It was my first consultation so I went in kind of scatterbrained, but they did clearly explain why things could and couldn’t be done Still, the doctor was a bit intense, so it drained me (I’m an INFP) •Incisional - in-out - fat removal - upper canthoplasty• - Price: 1.5 million + 800,000 = 2.3 million KRW, tax excluded - Discounts: same-day reservation discount / 300,000 KRW off for part-model / 100,000 KRW off for bringing someone - Sedation anesthesia - only while getting the anesthesia injections for the canthoplasty (5-10 min); then local anesthesia - Pre-op fasting for 6 hours: truly nothing at all - Sutures removed 5 to 6 days after surgery - Swelling laser treatment the next day after surgery (unlimited sessions) - 2-year aftercare warranty >> The doctor’s inter-eyebrow distance is also pretty narrow. >> If this hadn’t been my first consultation, I might have gone with this place, but the doctor’s style drained me too much, so I’m debating
• ㅇㄹㄱㅈ Consultation reservation: 2/3, 5:00 PM - consultation fee X The clinic is very small / everyone except me had something done to their lips Not sure if it was a cosmetic surgery clinic or a dermatology clinic [Consultation details] Coordinator > doctor > coordinator ~Coordinator consultation~ They talked as if I should go with in-out line, semi-out was a maybe, incisional, fat removal, upper canthoplasty, and eye correction ~Doctor consultation~ Consulted without taking off my mask Didn’t even try to draw a line on the right eye Said the line has to be short (low) There’s a lot of skin on the lower eyelid = it’ll become sausage-like They do upper canthoplasty, but it would only make the front line a little more visible Said the line should be set as an in-line and kept short (Then why bother getting double-eyelid surgery•••?) Suggested preserving the existing line as much as possible Incision is absolutely necessary (because the skin is lax) No need to even mention fat removal - they literally said it like that They asked whether I thought my eyes looked fierce, and when I said no, they said then I didn’t need eye correction either Then they said, “That’s settled, right?” and just walked out The tone was so rude and it felt like they just wanted to keep doing lip fillers forever •Incisional - in-line - fat removal - upper canthoplasty• - Incision 990,000 + fat removal 300,000 + upper canthoplasty 270,000 = 2.06 million KRW, tax excluded - Full-face exposure: I have to post on BeautyTalk and Gangnam Unnie with my whole face visible (as a condition for writing a review): 500,000 KRW discount - Partial face exposure: 300,000 KRW discount - No cash discount - Aftercare = swelling laser (no limit on sessions) / follow-up care (via KakaoTalk....??;;) >> If someone told me they were going here, I’d strongly talk them out of it••• run-down facilities•••
• ㅍ Consultation reservation: 1/27, 5:00 PM - consultation fee X / they wrote a lot on the chart [Consultation details] Coordinator > doctor > coordinator ~Coordinator consultation~ Skin laxity, epicanthic fold, fat Upper canthoplasty, inner canthoplasty, incision, fat removal The coordinator sat there and drew the line for me.. like they were the doctor ~Doctor consultation~ They drew a ton of different lines A line around 9 mm looked pretty With an incision, they cut away skin so the amount that can be folded increases, so they’d set the line at around 8 mm No eye correction needed; the strength for opening my eyes is fine When I mentioned the “young princess in-line incident,” they said it had nothing to do with sausage-like swelling, that it’s just the doctor’s way of drawing the line, and it has nothing to do with the thickness of the lower eyelid skin.. Inner canthoplasty / upper canthoplasty - literally only for cutting the fold They said it could be done without making the eyes look too close together In-out is also possible, but it still means cutting the epicanthic fold No keloids form in the eyes The doctor was quiet, calm, and good at drawing the line. But it felt like, if you want it, I’ll make it for you, so they don’t seem to find a line that suits my face From reviews, there were also a lot of sausage-like results, and it felt like they’d just make an outer line regardless of whether it suited you •Incisional - semi-out - upper canthoplasty - inner canthoplasty - fat removal• - Incision 1.8 million; each canthoplasty 800,000; fat removal additional 500,000 - Same-day discount: from 2.75 million down to 2.5 million (with same-day deposit condition) - Surgery takes about two hours - Sedation anesthesia, then local anesthesia, then surgery - Suture removal one week later - Aftercare: swelling injections and laser - No separate cash price - If you put down a 200,000 deposit, cancellation is possible up to 4 days before >> I had already put down a deposit, but I felt uneasy because they said semi-out was only possible here, so I got the deposit refunded and removed it from the list
• ㅌㅌㅇ Consultation reservation: 2/11, 10:00 AM - consultation fee X / clean, modern clinic [Consultation details] Coordinator > doctor > coordinator ~Coordinator consultation~ The coordinator.. was insanely pretty Wouldn’t in-out suit you a bit better? That was the coordinator’s opinion The doctor might recommend upper canthoplasty Incisional protruding-eye correction The coordinator was so pretty. The kindest person in the world;; They explained the surgical principle in detail.. ~Doctor consultation~ They carefully examined my eyes while adjusting the line in all kinds of ways They tried both outer lines and in-out lines They pointed out that my eyes are different on each side The space between the right eyebrow and eye is narrower than on the left Just in-out line, eye correction (not enough strength to open the eyes), and maybe upper canthoplasty The epicanthic fold is so strong that even if it’s cut, it won’t disappear completely It’s an in-out line, but not an in-out where the front part is cut off (Oh, that’s exactly the line I wanted) •Incisional - in-out - eye correction - inner upper canthoplasty• - Local anesthesia (after sedation anesthesia) - Surgery takes about 40 minutes - Upper canthoplasty = inner canthoplasty (inner upper canthoplasty....?) - 2.75 million for incisional eye correction + 550,000 for canthoplasty = 3.3 million - If I write a review, it goes down to 2.9 million - If I don’t do eye correction, it goes down to 2.4 million >> If I have surgery here, I need to clearly say I absolutely will not do eye correction >> I had almost made up my mind to get surgery here, but after looking up reviews I heard there are blacklisted concerns, and there were a lot of scary reviews, so I removed it from the list
• ㅇㅇㅂ - recommended by an acquaintance - paid 10,000 KRW for the consultation fee (found out after the consultation) Consultation reservation: 2/11, 3:00 PM / clinic is very small and shabby [Consultation details] Doctor consultation first, then the coordinator explained ~Doctor consultation~ For the first time, I took off my mask completely and even put on a headband while they drew the line.. Upper canthoplasty, in-out line 6.5~7 mm If the line is higher than that, it’ll become sausage-like No need for eye correction, no ptosis~ And they only suggested upper canthoplasty so the eyes wouldn’t look too close together They seem to prefer a natural line (a line that’s almost like an in-line?) They strongly said they’d never seen a keloid in 23 years of practice They showed me all the post-op photos, but the Photoshop was pretty severe. Like Ao Oni level Still, it wasn’t especially memorable The doctor somewhat resembles chamgireum Lee Jeong-seop (kind of like Lee Jeong-seop after double-eyelid surgery) The doctor is a bit older < feels like they don’t understand young people’s sensibilities I tried making a small joke and got ignored, which was upsetting ~Coordinator consultation~ - Incisional inner canthoplasty takes about an hour to an hour and a half - Performed under local anesthesia - using a thin needle (they showed me the needle) - Major swelling lasts a month, minor swelling more than 3 months - Sutures inside - Visits on days 1, 3, 5, 7; canthoplasty sutures removed first on day 5, second on day 7 - 1-year warranty - only for incision (not for canthoplasty) - Incision 1.5 million > discounted to 1.19 million - Canthoplasty 550,000 > 500,000 cash - Total card 1.85 million / cash 1.69 million - They don’t cut the skin / they don’t really do fat removal either (they just wipe away any fat that comes out when opening the area..??) - A completely natural line....?.????? >> They called back and asked if I wasn’t going to make a reservation >> If you want a barely-there double eyelid, it might be worth consulting, but it wasn’t for me so I removed it from the list
• ㅇㄹㅈ Consultation reservation: 2/17, 6:00 PM - consultation fee X / the clinic had motel-style interior design [Consultation details] Doctor consultation first, then the coordinator explained the price ~Doctor consultation~ Dr. Kim Yang-soo calmly and quietly delivered some harsh truths As soon as I sat down, he asked if I didn’t work at a company Asked what my job was and wrote it down in English as hell Held the top of my head firmly with his palm and drew the line (And then patted me with his palm too, I almost wanted to die from irritation) When drawing the line, he scolded me a little for not keeping my eyes wide open (I was just opening them normally..) He also scolded me a bit for not holding the mirror properly But the doctor has a really gentle, soft kind of charisma The distance between my eyes should be 35 mm, and it is exactly 35 mm (he measured it directly with a ruler) The inner canthi also droop downward It’s better not to do canthoplasty This is the clinic I dislike the most when they recommend upper canthoplasty (he said very gently but firmly, “The clinic I dislike most is the one that says to do upper canthoplasty.”) Incision and in-out line, plus fat removal, would be done together The surgery under local anesthesia on just the eyes takes 40 minutes Sutures come out on day 5 The inner canthi can’t be pulled up by tearing them open About 2 mm higher than my current line on the left eye No need for eye correction Semi-out is absolutely not an option When I said “You’re very clear and decisive,” he said the answer is already there ~Coordinator consultation~ The most concise.... Kind of like, if you want to do it, do it; if not, don’t Not unfriendly, just concise.. and.. cold.. that kind of feeling... - Eyelid anesthesia injection - Surgery 40 minutes - Bruising or major swelling for about 2 weeks - It settles into place in about 3 to 4 months - 1.5 million KRW - 1.3 million KRW cash price - Total of 3 clinic visits >> I removed this from the list because my epicanthic fold is severe and I wanted upper canthoplasty. There was a customer who got quick double-eyelid surgery and left on the same day.
• ㅅㅅ Consultation reservation: 2/24, 5:30 PM - consultation fee X / the clinic looks like a spaceship / they have a ton of their own books [Consultation details] Coordinator > doctor > coordinator ~Coordinator consultation~ Incisional, eye correction, in-out, hooked canthoplasty (0 mm canthoplasty) If you don’t want your eyes to look close together, come to our clinic~ Our clinic is good at shaping the front part~ (That came up while talking about canthoplasty) The coordinator drew the line for me > only slightly higher than my existing line Would a flashy, high in-out line become sausage-like? Eye correction this, incisional that, it should be done together.. I wasn’t really paying attention since it was just the coordinator consultation ~Doctor consultation~ I came back the next day at 1 PM (after waiting an hour and a half because the doctor was in surgery, I rebooked) > as soon as I arrived, they sent me straight into the doctor’s office (no waiting) The skin is thick, so it’s hard to raise the line It’s the skin thickness, not fat••• (while saying it didn’t feel like fat removal - pinching my eyelid skin) Incisional hooked canthoplasty (inner upper canthoplasty) About one hour of surgery Remove the hooked feeling at the front part Because the eyelid skin is thick, set the line a bit lower An in-out line close to an in-line Wouldn’t it be better to do eye correction together? (not because the opening strength is weak, but to make it look better when opened) > to make the eye itself look bigger (so the pupil looks bigger) > not forcing me to do it I asked about outer lower canthoplasty, but they said there was no real need now and it could be done after the double-eyelid surgery later When I asked if my horizontal length was short, they said all Koreans are short When I mentioned my severe asymmetry, the doctor said among plastic surgeons they call it the “right-eye rule,” and that all Koreans have a smaller, thicker, more drooping right eye and if I look at my friends’ eyes, they’ll all be like that < so what am I supposed to do with that•••? They also showed me photos of people with similar eyes When I asked questions, they answered well Not the super-friendly type, but their voice had confidence! They answered my questions clearly and made firm decisions Some people might come off as arrogant, I thought The line they drew didn’t feel bad, but since they said it would come out closer to an in-line, I just felt so-so •Incisional - in-out - hooked canthoplasty• - About one hour of surgery - Sedation anesthesia, then local anesthesia - Sutures removed on day 7 - Aftercare within 1 year = swelling laser, scar care - Within 1 year, A/S: only anesthesia cost; after 1 year, reoperation at 50% price - If deciding in February, event review 3 times, eye selfie 5 times - Incision 2.2 million > 1.5 million, canthoplasty 2.0 million > 1.5 million = 3.3 million (tax included) - If paying cash, they remove the tax, so cash price goes down to 3.0 million >> This was honestly the most expensive quote among all the clinics I visited;
• ㅈㅇㅈㅇ (they let you choose a doctor when booking the consultation) Consultation reservation: 3/4, 11:30 AM - consultation fee X / the clinic is spacious and super clean.. it really feels like a hospital [Consultation details] Coordinator > doctor > coordinator ~Coordinator consultation~ They just asked whether I had a line I wanted or any procedure I had in mind, and that was it After writing it on the chart, I met the doctor right away Elegant.. calm... gorgeous... ~Doctor consultation~ They really drew a LOT of lines? Every time I asked something, they drew a line and showed me directly My horizontal eye length is on the long side With the right line, a refreshing eye shape is possible The space between the eyes is narrow - inner canthoplasty is absolutely no Upper canthoplasty is fine - rather than cutting the epicanthic fold, it’s for making the front line visible The skin on the right eye is thicker - proceed with a standard incision The outer line of the left eye is higher, so while lowering the outer line and raising the middle line, they would even things out (= high fold) They lifted my eyelid and checked the existing line and whether there were double folds The right eye would just be done with a standard incision The line they drew was what I liked best.. and above all, the reviews showed the line comes out clean, which I really liked My eye-opening strength is fine, so no eye correction is needed They explained exactly what they’d do with my eyes using drawings••• The doctor was calm and composed, with a Death Note L kind of vibe When I mentioned that another clinic had said I should go for a line closer to in-line, he said that if it were in-line, it would look more androgynous We exchanged opinions that an eye with an in-out line looks good and pretty •Fat removal, incisional surgery (right and left), high fold (left), upper canthoplasty• - High fold 2.5 million - Incision 1.5 million - Since it’s the first surgery, they matched the middle price and set incision + fat removal at 2.0 million - Canthoplasty adds 500,000 - 2.5 million tax included - High fold isn’t part of the event, so you can’t join the photo-disclosure event - When I asked if they could lower the price a bit more because I wanted to reserve that day, they said 2.3 million tax included without photo disclosure - 1-year A/S with no extra cost - Aftercare swelling laser with no limit on sessions - Surgery takes about two hours - Empty stomach for the 4 hours before surgery (from 2 PM onward no water, gum, coffee, or candy)
