Review <Week 1>Ever since I was young, my eyelids were thick and I had ptosis, so I only kept thinking about double-eyelid surgery. Then I heard it can also affect intraocular pressure, so a younger acquaintance recommended a place where their double-eyelid revision surgery went well (it was my first time though). I got a consultation and went ahead with an incisional procedure + even had eye-shape correction!
For ptosis... most people seem to do it with an incision, in an in-out line (because my eyelids are thick, I had expected before the consultation that non-incisional probably wouldn’t work)
When I visited, the director who had operated on my acquaintance was away at a seminar, so I also had a consultation with another director, and the manager scheduled another consultation date for me, so I booked the surgery date with the director who did my acquaintance’s surgery haha It wasn’t that I had a lot of flesh on my upper eyelids... they said it was because my eyes protrude a bit. Shocked They said I probably didn’t need epicanthoplasty, so I decided to just do eye-shape correction as well Since it was double-eyelid surgery and my first surgery, the surgery time wasn’t that long. 1 hour? I think the waiting time was longer than the actual surgery... because there were a lot of people After it ended, I went straight to a close friend’s nearby house where several friends had gathered, and the friends who had had double-eyelid surgery all said my line was well made haha We’re going on a trip together at the end of March, and they said it seems like it’ll come out really pretty and that it lives up to its famous name
It’s week 1, and the swelling seems to be going down fairly quickly... but I think it’s still not fully gone. When I open my eyes upward, it feels a bit tight??
If I knew I’d do it like this, I should’ve just done it when I was a bit younger ㅡㅡㅋ The uncomfortable parts were that it was itchy, painful, and stiff until the stitches were removed, that’s all.. When I go at 2 weeks and 4 weeks, I’ll try uploading photos too
