I had nose surgery 5 years ago using silicone and septal cartilage. As time went by, it felt like the shape of my nose was getting more and more crooked, and maybe because my skin is thin, it seemed like the silicone on the bridge was showing through, like someone had stuck a piece of chalk in there. It really started to look like that old Gangnam beauty character's nose. Honestly, I liked the height of my nose, so instead of thinking about removing the silicone, I was wondering whether I should add dermis or what other way there might be to fix it. Then a friend said my nose seemed a little crooked, so I started looking into revision surgery. When I went to VN and told the doctor I didn't want the bridge to get lower, but I also didn't want to use an implant, Dr. Ahn explained the cartilage-granule method for Shasha nose, and I realized there was a way to fill the bridge using my own cartilage. After asking a ton of questions, I felt like I didn't need to worry about an implant, so I thought it over and got the revision surgery. Now the nose shape feels much more stable and the tip is clearly different, so I really like it. If you have thin skin like me, don't use an implant if possible. If you just put in an implant, you might end up with a chalk-like nose like mine and have to get revision surgery
