I had my nose re-surgery with autologous costal cartilage after 25 years

I had my nose done 25 years ago, but it was so long ago that it didn’t suit my face at all, and only the nose stood out unnaturally. As time passed, the silicone in the bridge and tip started showing through. In winter it would turn red, and especially this year my nose tip started becoming round and turning red in a way that looked obviously like a complication, so I hurriedly started looking for a clinic for nose revision surgery. While searching around, I found out that Lowell Plastic Surgery was well known for nose revision surgery, so I made a consultation appointment with Director Kim Jae-yoon and went in. First of all, both the manager and the doctor were very kind. They didn’t push me to do anything extra. I’m older too, so I also asked about hollowing around the eyes and sagging, and they explained very clearly how it would be best handled and set a direction for me. For my nose, they also took a CT scan and showed me in 3D what parts should be improved and how the surgery would be done, including the shape after surgery, so I trusted them and decided to proceed. I didn’t have a strong specific shape I wanted, and I told them I didn’t want to have another revision surgery again. When the doctor said he couldn’t promise there would be 100% no complications, but that he would do his absolute best to make sure I wouldn’t need another revision, I felt an incredible amount of trust haha. I had the surgery with autologous costal cartilage, and my nose really didn’t hurt at all. After surgery, the area where the costal cartilage was harvested felt uncomfortable when moving, like I’d pulled a muscle. Even though the nasal gauze was removed the next day, breathing still felt a bit difficult for about a week. About 2 weeks after surgery, both the costal cartilage site and my nose were almost back to normal. I was so happy that I could remove the splint after a week and even wear simple makeup. Surprisingly, the hardest part was having to keep wearing contact lenses because my eyesight is bad. I’m highly myopic and also have severe dry eye... That was harder than the surgery itself. That’s my issue, haha. Maybe because the doctor’s technique is good, I felt the recovery was very fast. It’s been a month now, and the swelling has gone down a lot. Every time I look in the mirror, I’m so satisfied with my nose. People around me also keep saying I look prettier and younger, though they can’t quite say why. Since the nose is the center of the face, I think it changes your impression. Before, I had surgery with L-shaped silicone, so over time the tip became sharper and it looked like an obviously operated-on nose!! But now the tip is round and naturally pretty. It feels more refined. And the price was charged exactly as listed on the website event, with no extra add-ons. I’m thinking about under-eye fat repositioning and eyelid fat grafting next, and I definitely want to do them at Lowell too ^^
