I don’t have prominent cheekbones, but my square jaw had developed in such an ugly way that I went there after researching hard. To the point that I almost wished I had a prognathic jaw instead, lol. Looking back now, I feel like I was mentally ill, but honestly it was that much of a problem. During the consultation with the director, he said my nerve line was positioned high. That means there’s more bone that can be shaved down. I asked them to make it as small and slim as possible, but they said I’d regret it later and that they needed to preserve at least some angle. He said shaving off every angle is old news and a trend from 10 years ago.. lol The consultation was so honest that I was taken aback. Anyway, I ended up having the angles reduced while preserving the minimum angle, and it’s been four months since surgery. Honestly, I think I was right to listen. From the front, my face looks much slimmer, and from the side there’s still some angle, so photos seem to come out pretty well.
