This was the third place I visited for nose consultation, and after talking with the doctor, I was told my septal cartilage was small and insufficient, so autologous costal cartilage was suggested. After hearing the explanations about autologous rib cartilage and donor rib cartilage, I felt that using my own autologous rib cartilage instead of donor rib cartilage would mean less worry about inflammation and stronger support for the nose tip, so it seemed safer in the long term and I felt autologous rib cartilage would be fine.
