It’s exactly like the title says.. I had primary rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage and no implant, and there was inflammation in the columella itself, so yesterday I had everything urgently removed. I really just kept crying, and even the doctor said this kind of case is extremely rare, but of course I ended up being the one it happened to….. haha During surgery, they didn’t use my septal cartilage at all, but what I’m worried about is that I don’t even know how many days I had the inflammation, and I’m scared that my original cartilage may have melted because of the inflammation, and also worried that contracture could happen. The doctor says that when they checked, the chances of that are very low, but right now I’m in a situation where I’ve hit every single one of those “very low” odds,, so those words don’t even register with me. The bulbous nose correction and cartilage suturing were already done, and they said that since my nose had once been raised, even after complete removal my nose could still be higher than my original nose, but it sounds like total nonsense to me.. Is that actually true?? I can’t trust anything anymore… Has anyone here experienced something like me? Please help
