Even one star is a waste. Details below. I’m leaving a review because there were many disappointing aspects after receiving jaw Botox treatment.
I waited about 1 hour past my reservation time, and the consultation was briefly conducted by the manager in the waiting area, not in a separate consultation room. Rather than receiving an explanation while looking at materials related to the procedure, I was only given a verbal explanation.
After checking my jaw, they said I had little jaw muscle and would proceed with the standard dose, and I received the procedure as is, but afterward a “candy bulge” phenomenon appeared, where the jaw area protruded in a bulge.
I went back for a retouch because of the side effect, and when I told the doctor about the swelling, I was given an explanation to the effect that “the swelling will go down, but there’s nothing that can be done about the flesh.” Personally, it felt like a change after the procedure rather than fat, so I felt the response on that point was somewhat disappointing.
Afterward, the coordinator and manager explained that it would get better with time, but the fact that it would take 2 to 3 weeks to return to normal because of a side effect was stressful in itself, and I did not feel trust in the explanations and response before and after the procedure.
Results from procedures can vary by individual, but in terms of waiting time, consultation style, and follow-up response, I felt this clinic was not a good fit for me. I hope this is helpful for those considering jaw Botox.
