While writing this, I have to say I respect people who post things like, “I just had surgery today~”.. I had surgery yesterday and thought I was going to die.. I’m still alive, so I guess I’m okay... sigh... Anyway, yesterday morning I took a taxi and arrived at the hospital. Up to that point I was in a very good mood. I felt excited about the surgery for some reason(?) and, at the same time, I was scared too.. After the nurse disinfected me with some medicine sprayed into my nose, she asked if I was ready.. (She asked while staring at me with those intense eyes, so for a moment I got scared.. It’s not like I came here to trade organs or anything ㅡ,.ㅡ;;) I changed into the surgical gown and went into the operating room. Once I put on the gown, it somehow felt like I was going to a sauna... As soon as I lay down in the operating room, the anesthesiologist started asking me all kinds of things.. He seemed to be talking a lot to keep me comfortable... Then he said, “This will sting a little,” and that was the IV for the sleep anesthesia.. After that, he asked how much alcohol I could handle. For a moment I almost asked, “Do you want to have a drink after it’s over?” but calmly answered, “I’ve drank up to three bottles of soju.” Then he said, “In that case, I guess I’ll need to anesthetize you a bit stronger(?)” and put a yellow injection into the IV.. And while rubbing my chest for me (oh no, this feels strangely awkward!!!), he attached a round white thing to me.. (Yes.. the white round thing that checks your heartbeat!!!) That’s all I remember, and then suddenly I came to with a jolt~ When I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room... After reading other people’s posts, I thought I’d at least go on a space expedition, but without dreaming even once, it was like the power to my brain just went out and came back on again.. It wasn’t some broken circuit breaker or anything..... Anyway, when I opened my eyes, I had a glucose IV in one arm? was getting? receiving? (I didn’t go to elementary school properly ㅡ,.ㅡ) But I had to pee so badly... I kept singing that I had to pee (would I really have sung in that situation? Ah~~ I have to peeeee~~~ ^^) In my own way, I politely told the nurse... She said it would be okay to go to the bathroom, so I tried to get up.. The moment I did, I felt dizzy. Since the day I was born, after finally getting truly sick in 5th grade and realizing that the earth was spinning, I believed the world would never fool me like that again, but this time the whole ward was spinning at about 200 km/h.. Then I collapsed weakly onto the bed and shouted one thing: “Just bring me a basin.” I’m not sure why I said “basin,” but anyway they brought me something like a stainless-steel one.. But lying there half-conscious and trying to push with my lower abdomen to pee, nothing came out. I just let out a weak fart, pop~ But with the anesthesia still in me, I didn’t even feel embarrassed... As expected, people become brave when they’re drunk or in pain... I just endured it. Maybe about 20 minutes passed.. I really needed to go to the bathroom, so I got up by myself.. Bravely.. and ran to the bathroom.. But suddenly, in the pump-like thing connected to my esophagus, foreign stuff started coming back up, and my brain detected it in 0.01 seconds. In the roughly 0.2 seconds before I got into the bathroom, countless thoughts raced through my head.. The sink? Or the toilet? And my brain’s instinctive judgment asked me a question: “If I throw up in the toilet, won’t it splash like diarrhea???” “I haven’t eaten anything, so there’s nothing to block it, right? Let’s just use the sink..” “Ueck, cough, cough, cough..” Along with loud belching sounds, retching filled the whole bathroom, but what came out into the sink was only something about as much as spit from phlegm.. ㅡ,.ㅡ If it was only once, okay, but after going “uek uek” dozens of times in a row, all that came out was nosebleed.. ㅡ,.ㅡ I thought I was going to die.. Maybe the anesthesia was just too strong.. Dragging my heavy body.. I fumbled into my clothes.. And came out of the operating room.. Then the nurse said one thing... “Are you leaving?” 삼식 said, “Yes.” Nurse said, “Take care~” 삼식 said, “Bye~” After that empty farewell, I got on the elevator.. But why was this damn elevator made according to the law of gravity? It felt like it was going down and up at the same time.. Ueck, once again, a time of defeat and absurdity surrounded me. People in that cramped space were keeping about two meters away from me in front of them.. Of course, the only sound was “uek,” and nothing actually came out, so I tried to glare at them and force a wry smile.. but I had no strength, and I was afraid I’d get beaten to death, so I stood up straight and acted like nothing had happened.. While waiting for a call taxi by the fountain in front of the building, I was so out of it that I kept talking to myself.. “Samshik, pull yourself together.. You have to stay focused..” I was crouched there muttering to myself, wondering who would throw me a coin. Even I looked pitiful, but no one paid attention.. Just then, a taxi came honking from far away. I jumped up and got in quickly.. Then I said, “XX Hotel, please.” Yes.. I was from the provinces, came up alone to the capital, and caused trouble.. While I was groaning beside him, the driver asked, “Are you in a lot of pain?” Samshik said, “I’m not in pain, but.. ueck” The driver was startled and said, “Are you okay?” Of course, I hadn’t actually thrown up yet.. My mom reportedly had severe morning sickness when she gave birth to me.. I thought, so this is what it’s like when women have morning sickness.. Before I knew it, I arrived at the lodging.. I quickly avoided people and headed for the elevator. This time I was alone in the elevator, so I could retch all I wanted. Hehe~ (I’m such an idiot..) Anyway, the moment I opened the hotel door.. I knew this wasn’t it this time. As soon as I started retching, I ran to the bathroom and blood, anesthesia, and mixed-up stuff all came out at once... I did that three times.. As soon as I came out of the bathroom, I collapsed onto the bed... And then I slept for a long time.. But I was still dizzy and my stomach felt terrible, so I drank a glass of water. And I slept again... But then.. suddenly I had to pee, so I shuffled to the bathroom.. And at the same time as I was peeing.. in all my life.. I’ve been so drunk that the next day things came out separately from top and bottom, but this was the first time I’d seen both come out at once.. Peeing and vomiting at the same time wasn’t even funny.. Anyway, after pouring it all out like that, I lay down on the bed. And I muttered to myself: “Who is it that posts things like ‘I just had surgery today~’ on a community...?” “A strongman??? Or a computer master who can type unconsciously???” After putting on a whole show (there was a MBC variety program in 1996 called One Big Laugh ㅡ,.ㅡ) what was I saying... Anyway, the next day, so today, when I got up, I had a fever.. I went to the hospital early in the morning to have the hose they’d put in so blood wouldn’t pool in my ear removed too.. I was so dizzy.. And my stomach hurt so much.. Honestly, I even thought I really just wanted to die.. The doctor’s first words when he saw me sitting in the ward in the morning were, “Where does it hurt? You look like you’re in pain..” Huh.. Doctor, are you seriously saying you don’t remember me... It’s me, me, Samshik, the one who had surgery yesterday.. I wanted to say that, but I calmly said, “I have a bit of a fever..” But he said I shouldn’t have a fever, and that if it was a side effect, what should we do.. he said.. But even if it were a side effect, fever only shows up about three days after surgery, and your nose turns red too, so I thought maybe it was just a cold..... I suddenly got scared, so I quickly asked.. “Then, then.. if it’s a side effect, do I have to take everything out??? Huh?” The doctor said, “What would I take out? Everything.. it’s your own body..” ㅡ,.ㅡ Without having a very nutritious conversation first thing in the morning, and since I also couldn’t eat because my stomach felt bad, they gave me a strong antibiotic mixed into glucose as an IV.. After I got that, I felt about 2% alive.. When that was done, it was already past 12. So before the traffic got bad, I hurried out of the hospital, got in a car, and came home.. I thought I was going to die driving in that state. I saw the lanes as two separate roads, and the brake lights of the car ahead looked like traffic lights.. After finally getting home after a lot of twists and turns, I roughly tossed my things around and collapsed onto the bed.. And when I woke up.. here I am.. I’ll post photos once my face looks more like a human face.. Right now I look like a chimpanzee that got beaten by its owner and ran away.. (What kind of look is that even ㅡ,.ㅡ) As expected.. cosmetic surgery isn’t something just anyone can do.... I tried to become pretty, but I might end up killing myself instead.. Anyway.. while you’re reading this, I want to say one thing to anyone planning to have cosmetic surgery.. “Just go for it.. They say you’ll get prettier... The pain will heal with time, but time won’t heal the desire to become beautiful. If you do it when you’re older, it’s even harder, so let’s be confident with the strength we have when we’re young. Hwaiting~~”
