Hello! As scheduled, I had my cheekbones and square jaw done two days ago at a hospital in Apgujeong.... The cheekbones were 6 million won and the square jaw was 5 million won. I wondered if I should do my nose too.. but I felt like I absolutely wouldn’t survive that;;; so I only did facial contouring. For choosing the hospital, unlike many people, I didn’t ask around, make a list, and so on. My dad, who is just a general surgeon, said surgery is mostly about years of experience, so I had it done by a doctor with a lot of surgical experience, frequent media appearances, and some fame. First, the surgical method... for cheekbones, they did both an intraoral incision and a preauricular incision, and for the square jaw, an intraoral incision. I’m not sure whether the scalp incision people talk about a lot these days is different from a preauricular incision... At the hospital where I had it done, they said scalp incision can leave scars and cause hair loss, and minimal incision makes it hard to see a definite effect, so they don’t really perform those much these days...; First of all, my current condition is -_-; I feel like I’m dying. I didn’t exactly go into it with an unusually strong mindset either.... The night after surgery, I was trembling in pain all night and regretted it. I don’t think I’ve seen a case like this in the reviews here. I had side effects from the so-called comfortable patient-controlled analgesia... From immediately after surgery through day two, I kept vomiting green bile... felt nauseated, had a headache... had chills... I really thought I was going to die... Eventually, on day two, I decided to have the patient-controlled analgesia removed. After removing it, a crazy pain rushed over my entire face... I spent two nights not in my right mind. I heard strange sounds, had nightmares... and the post-op muscle pain was also severe, so when I spat out bloody phlegm and when I moved, my chest hurt so much. Really. I’m telling you. Please think twice before having facial contouring surgery.... This is not an ordinary surgery. It really makes you think, why did I do this, my face wasn’t even that ugly before.. For me, because I also had side effects from the painkiller, it was twice as hard. And.... even if you have it done at famous plastic surgery clinics in Apgujeong, Gangnam, or places like that, absolutely do not expect facilities and service at the level of a general hospital. The night-duty nurse kindly took care of me while I suffered all night, but I barely saw the surgeon... I was scared and anxious... and the inpatient room was really; completely different from the design at the front of the building. They say all private clinics are like that, but I was a little disappointed. My parents said I should have done it at a general hospital... Also, facial contouring is a surgery where you absolutely need help from family. There are many people who say they’ll keep it secret from their family and take a month off, things like that. I absolutely do not recommend it. Even with my mom and dad taking turns caring for me for two nights, I struggled because it was hard to move.. The very idea of doing it without telling people is unrealistic -_-; your face changes. Anyway... right now my face has turned like a steamed bun.. I’m wearing a compression band and am posting this review as soon as I got discharged. The nurse said I’m less swollen than others. My eyes, nose, and mouth are still the same... it’s just that my cheeks are puffed up. The swelling seems a little less than yesterday. Tonight at home, I’m going to get an IV drip and some painkillers... I think I’ll have to wait and see over time how my face turns out. They said I have to do jaw exercises well starting today so it won’t stiffen later, so I plan to talk a lot and do lots of jaw exercises. Also, they told me absolutely not to use hot/cold compresses, so I’m not doing that now.. The nurse said pumpkin juice is a folk remedy, but it does help reduce swelling in its own way... If only the tooth sensitivity and headache get better, I think I could live a little. Everyone recovering after facial contouring.. hang in there... I hope my review helps
