I had surgery recently and have a question!

It’s been about ten days since surgery now, and a lot of the swelling has gone down, but after the major swelling went down, my cheeks have looked like I’m holding candy in them for several days, and the swelling isn’t really going down much.. I still have a long way to go before looking normal~ sob I’m using cold compresses, moving my body a bit, taking half-body baths, and using steam towels for warm compresses, trying hard to reduce the swelling. Ah, the point of the problem is that I had a vague expectation that if I wore the compression band, my face shape would settle into that shape, so I was wearing the compression band 24 hours a day, but when I looked into when I could take it off a little, “There is no swelling reduction while you are wearing the compression band, so you should wear it for about one hour out of every three hours, or for one hour each in the morning or evening. If you wear it while sleeping, you will swell very much in the morning, so you should not wear it while sleeping.” I saw something like this~ Is that really true????????? If you wear a compression band, does the swelling not go down, and do you have to take it off when sleeping? I thought if I wore the compression band, the swelling would go down in the shape of the band, so I kept wearing it even when my face was going numb... How are you all using your compression bands?? Am I the only one doing it like this??
