I had it done together with nasal bridge surgery.. They did the nose surgery first (local anesthesia), and after I was awake for a bit, the person who does general anesthesia came in.. (You all know, right?? The one where they put the hose on and say it's oxygen, don't worry, take deep breaths, while putting you under anesthesia.. It's a good lie, I guess.. lol) Once they anesthetize you (you don't remember, right lol, I guess they did the surgery..), the surgery must have ended.. After that I was moved to a bed and lay there for over an hour, then I was discharged ^ Ah-- I really regretted it.. Tears just came out. I wondered why I did this. I should have just lived as I was,, why am I going through this? At first it hurt so much I couldn't bear it. Honestly, what cosmetic surgery doesn't hurt.. Everyone goes in prepared, but it was worse than I expected.. For me, I'm never going to have surgery again. On the 2nd day (including the day of surgery), I went to the hospital in the afternoon and had the blood drain hoses removed.. This also felt incredibly awful.. Like they were pulling them out from the bone, maybe. It was brief, but since it was both sides lol (twice). Anyway, once they were removed it felt refreshing. They were originally supposed to remove them on day 3.. but they said it seemed okay, so they removed them on day 2,, and told me I might swell a bit. After removing the compression bandage, the director examined me. Fortunately, they said there was almost no swelling. My mother also looked from the side, and she said it looked similar to when I originally had my jaw. But my nose is very swollen and bruised too - The stinging pain is gradually getting better.. During surgery, they insert something into the throat for breathing (I guess it goes into the airway), the thing they insert.. Because of that my throat still hurts (like swollen tonsils), and it hurts every time I swallow saliva or food. A little phlegm comes out, but no blood comes out. I wish time would hurry up and pass.. What I want to say is.. Because of my square jaw, for 26 years I couldn't walk around with my head held up properly.. Whenever I took photos for albums and such, I was frantic trying to cover it with my hair.. In crowded places, I lived nervously in case a strong wind might blow.. But- if you're thinking of square jaw surgery.. please really think about it. Unless your complex is so severe that you're truly suicidal, just love that jaw and find a way to live while being loved too.. It feels like a terrible thing. I'm suffering, my body is suffering.. my mom is suffering- I do regret that I should have tried Botox first.. But.. since I am someone who has had the surgery too, for now I guess it's a relief that the angular jaw is gone.. I don't know how slim it will become from here.. (But I asked them to shave only a little, just enough to remove the angular part.) Still, I feel like it may not be enough to trade for this much pain and hardship. Those who want to have surgery.. Please steel yourself very firmly before doing it. I'm someone who could be called tough, tough enough to have four cigarette burns on my wrist (absolutely not bragging; I deeply regret this too because I need cosmetic surgery for it ㅠ_ㅠ I was young and didn't know better ㅠ_ㅠ), and I tolerate pain well.. But this is really-the highest level ㅠ_ㅠ Please think carefully before doing it.. (I'll say it again) Only those who feel like they'll die because of their jaw, who feel suicidal.. *But there will probably be individual differences.. Not everyone will hurt this much. My surgery went well and I have almost no swelling, but both sides of my jaw still sting,, Sigh, anyway, they told me to come in on Saturday, the 5th day after surgery, to have the stitches removed. I keep taking the medicine too, three times a day.. I live in Daejeon and had it done in Daejeon.. The hospital I went to is apparently known for facial contouring. If you do it in Seoul, it's hard to go back and forth after surgery, you know lol They said that if the swelling stays like this, I can remove the bandage and return to daily life.
