This is my 3-month review with Director Shin at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery~^^ Hello~ Ever since I was young, the area around my mouth was always a complex of mine~ Those of you who have a complex about your mouth area will know, but I felt like people were needlessly staring only at my mouth, and every time I took photos, something looked strange, so it bothered me a lot^^; I especially really disliked my side profile… So I always lacked confidence whenever photos were taken of me. It was a concern I had kept tucked away in a corner of my heart, but then I started wanting to feel confident even in front of a camera, so I made up my mind and decided to have jaw surgery at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery~ Honestly, double jaw surgery was so scary lol So I was really careful in choosing a hospital While looking around here and there, the hospital I first came across through YouTube videos was EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and when I actually visited and had a consultation, there were many advantages, such as operating rooms almost the same as those at a university hospital, and the consultation rooms and waiting area were really clean and had a nice atmosphere too^^ Above all, the most important thing was that Director Shin Hee-jin’s consultation style left a strong impression on me haha From the way she did not recommend unnecessary surgery and approached things carefully from the patient’s perspective, I made a reservation there right away lol Now it has already been 3 months since the surgery haha There is almost no pain in the surgical area, but I do still have a slight feeling that the skin does not feel like my own flesh yet (they said this becomes more natural after a bit more time passes). My mouth opens well, and eating food is not uncomfortable either. I am still in orthodontic treatment, so my dental occlusion has not completely stabilized yet, but even so, it is much more comfortable than before surgery, and I am satisfied.^^ The most important external change is also really big. My face shape has become much more natural than it was in the early postoperative period, and people around me have complimented me, saying my overall image and impression have really improved, that I look younger, and so on, so every comment I hear makes me feel good lol Most of all, the improvement in my facial asymmetry has become noticeable, and before, I had a habit of smiling with my mouth closed, but now I really like that I can smile showing my teeth. I’ve also been told that from far away, I look like a completely different person lol I was also one of those people who was really scared of double jaw surgery. But looking back now, I wonder why I didn’t do it sooner when it could change me this much^^ Of course, a recovery period is needed, and orthodontic treatment has to be done alongside it, but it helps a lot not only in appearance but also functionally. (My chewing function has improved a lot too.) I’m leaving this honest review in the hope that it helps anyone who, like me, has long been considering double jaw surgery because of concerns such as the jawline, asymmetry, mouth protrusion, or malocclusion~ If you have any questions, I’ll answer as much as I can~ lol Thank you^^
