Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

A turning point in my life! 9 months after double-jaw surgery, my life has changed …

I can’t believe it has already been 9 months since my double-jaw surgery. At first, my facial line felt awkward and the swelling was severe, so every time I took a photo I wondered, is this really my face? But now everything has completely settled and it looks so natural. People around me ask not whether I had surgery, but whether I lost weight, to the point that it doesn’t show. The reason I first decided on surgery was malocclusion. Chewing food was so difficult, and every time I took photos, seeing my jaw stand out was really stressful. So I went for consultations at several places, and most of them recommended zygoma surgery as well. I only wanted double-jaw surgery, so I had a lot of concerns, but at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, they recommended only the double-jaw surgery that I needed right now, so I trusted them. During the consultation, they explained every single thing I was curious about, so I felt really reassured. Honestly, right after surgery it was hard. My nose was blocked, I couldn’t drink water well, my mouth got extremely dry, and when the swelling was at its peak, I didn’t even want to look in the mirror haha. But after about 3 to 4 months, my facial expressions became much more natural, and daily life became completely comfortable. And now, at 9 months, I finally strongly feel that this is my face. I’m so satisfied because my jawline looks refined in photos, and there is no awkwardness at all when I smile or talk. Early after surgery, the sensation around my mouth and at the tip of my chin was a little dull, but now it has completely returned, so there is no discomfort at all. Above all, I gained so much confidence. In the past, I worried about angles when taking photos and even smiling felt awkward, but now I smile naturally and can show my side profile with confidence. I also hear very often that my facial impression has become softer. If there are people considering double-jaw surgery, I really want to recommend it. The early stage after surgery can be difficult, but as time passes, you’ll be able to get a completely natural and satisfying result like I have now. For me, this surgery was a turning point in my life, and even if I went back, I would choose double-jaw surgery the same way. It was truly a choice I don’t regret!
