This is my 5-month review after following my friend who had surgery with Director Kim Jong-yoon at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and having the same surgery hehe. For years, I kept worrying about my long face and the hollowing next to my nose, but procedures just couldn't give me satisfying results, so I finally made up my mind and decided on surgery. My friend had surgery first at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and she got so much prettier that after seeing her, I got the courage too and ran straight to EU Oral without feeling the need to visit any other clinic lol At 1 month, it would feel like the swelling went down a little by evening, but when I woke up in the morning, my face would get puffy again, and that kept repeating. Especially on the left side, there was a lot of swelling overall, while on the right side, swelling remained only around the anterior cheek, so it was a little frustrating that the swelling was going down asymmetrically. Still, I worked hard to manage it by taking swelling medication and pumpkin juice to reduce the swelling quickly. At 2 months, the screws had been bothering me and felt uncomfortable, but I finally had them removed, so it was so much more comfortable. Honestly, it hurt a little when removing the screw that was embedded deeply at the bottom, but I endured it. Now I could chew rice too, and maybe the nerves were coming back in my gums and cheek area, because I felt tingling all dayㅠㅠ There was also a period when all my teeth hurt overall, and I remember my teeth hurting so much for about 2 weeks starting from the 1-month mark~ At 3 months, I finally finished wearing the wafer. I could comfortably chew tender meat now, and my mouth opened much wider than before, enough to fit about two and a half fingers. There was still slight swelling in my cheeks and philtrum area, but compared with the early post-op period, it definitely became much more natural! At 4 months, it really hit me that it had already been 4 months since surgery. And I finally got permission from the clinic to drink alcohol, so I had the beer I had been waiting and waiting for hahaha. Meat and almonds that I couldn't eat before can now be chewed with no problem, and I was so happy that the joy of eating came back. And now, at the current 5-month mark, as the swelling from double-jaw surgery has gone down a lot, I feel like the final line is really starting to show. After the swelling went down, my facial contour became much clearer, and facial lines that were not very visible before are now neatly revealed, so I am really satisfied! Of course, as the swelling went down, a little sagging is slightly visible, but thanks to that, the natural facial line came alive, so I also think it may give a softer impression. Still, to maintain elasticity, I am getting Ulthermage treatment and managing it more firmly! At first, my fear and worries about surgery were so big, but as time passed, my face gradually became prettier and eating became freer, so I am really satisfied.
