<Original nose><Current> First of all, my original nose was bulbous, had a retracted columella, and was low. 1st surgery> About 10 years ago, without knowing much, I had only silicone raised a lot, then inflammation and contracture happened. 2nd surgery> Removed the silicone and used autologous dermis + ear cartilage. It was good because the inflammation was resolved, but I still had no columella. 3rd surgery > I had it at the same hospital as the 2nd surgery, added more ear cartilage, and tried to bring out the columella. It did improve to some extent, and compared with before, the nose shape got a lot better, but I keep thinking maybe I should have used costal cartilage. A slightly more dramatic straight nose, with the columella brought out more, a sharper, higher nose I still have so much lingering desire for that It’s been over a year since surgery, so should I try a 4th surgery now, as the last one, using costal cartilage... Nose Lab’s closed approach looks okay, so I’m really thinking hard about it. I’m older now, so I wonder if I’m being ridiculous, but I still have regrets. I was okay, but starting a few weeks ago I suddenly started thinking about it and it’s driving me crazy. What should I do... The photos are my original nose (from about 10 years ago) and now.
익명 Honestly, do you really need to? If the 4th surgery goes wrong, it seems like there’ll be even less you can do.
설기백설기 If you really, really, truly are going to do it, I think it might be better to do it without an implant at this point.
찌유에여 I think your nose now isn’t bad either.
청명 If there’s nothing wrong functionally, I think you should stop now.
아카이브123 [@] That’s true But when I look at lots of surgery progress photos, the ones using costal cartilage all come out with the line I ultimately want, so that desire keeps welling up again and again.
아카이브123 [@설기백설기] Right I’m just thinking about it because I want to do only the nasal tip with costal cartilage....
아카이브123 [@찌유에여] It’s not that it’s bad, but I still have lingering desire for a more dramatic, higher + straighter nose... I regret not using costal cartilage. Human greed must have no end. When I was doing the 3rd surgery, all I wanted was for the columella to come out a little, rather than just height.
아카이브123 [@청명] I’ve always had rhinitis anyway(?) Other than that, there aren’t any major issues, but I’m so torn.. Thank you If I had used costal cartilage from the start when I had my 3rd surgery last year, would I not be having this dilemma? Or would I have had some other dilemma instead?
