I'm a man, and my nose was on the low side. The main purpose of opening up my nose was surgery to improve breathing, not cosmetic surgery, but since they were already opening it, I had 2 mm of Gore-Tex placed.
My original nose was low, but it harmonized well with my overall face shape, so I had been living satisfied with it. After the surgery, my nose looked more handsome, and everyone said I had become better-looking and that it turned out well. But I couldn't really get used to the operated nose on my face shape, and I disliked the foreign-body sensation. I was also worried about side effects as I got older, and as a man, the fact that I had plastic surgery made me feel some kind of inferiority complex I can't quite explain. Whenever people said I looked handsome, I felt like I was deceiving others, and I didn't feel honest with myself. That became psychological stress, so I had it removed. It's now day 6 after removal, and I don't know if it's because my nose is swollen, but the nasal bridge looks completely flat and my face somehow looks plain. When I touch it, the nasal dorsum feels slightly shaved down, and the bridge skin is soft and loose with swelling. Once the swelling goes down and the skin regains elasticity, I think it may become a low but somewhat defined nose, but right now it's in a slightly bulky and thick state, like Jang Keun-suk's nose from the front, but lower. I'll have to keep watching it, but it's really surprising that even a 2 mm difference makes such a big difference. I think it's true that the face is an aesthetic of 1 mm. Among those who had their nasal implant removed, has anyone had their nasal bridge swell thickly and become plain-looking like me after removal?? If so, I'm curious whether it gradually finds its shape over time.
I didn't expect I'd still be bothered even after removal. Touching the face is really troublesome lol. I'll keep monitoring the condition and continue to update.
