Day 3 after long-curved square jaw surgery

I'm male, and my face is definitely on the small side, but my square jaw that protruded sideways was severe, so it was always a complex for me. Even when I was in school, when friends drew my face, they often jokingly drew my square jaw with sharp angles. I had surgery on the 9th, so now it's day 3. I had mandibular angle reduction under the ear + masseter muscle resection + cortical osteotomy. I had it done at ㅇㅇㄷ, and although it wasn't the head director, I had it done by someone they recommended as being very skilled. For about 6 hours after surgery, recovering from general anesthesia and having secretions collect in my throat made it hard to breathe, and the throbbing pain was so difficult that I even wondered whether I had the surgery for nothing. After staying one night in the hospital, I was discharged, and now it's the third day. Since yesterday, I've been buying and eating porridge. Currently, I don't think I have pain, but phlegm or yellow nasal mucus still tends to collect, and after waking up, the swelling has gotten a bit worse. I think I'll only know whether the surgery went well after the swelling goes down somewhat. I feel like I decided on the surgery a bit hastily, so I couldn't look into square jaw surgery side effects much before doing it, but it was such a complex for me that I think I would have done it someday anyway. However, now that I'm looking into it, they say some mandibular angle under the ear has to be left when cutting the bone so it doesn't become a dog-like jaw, but because I'm still swollen, I can't tell whether the angle under the ear has been left somewhat naturally and resected properly. As the swelling goes down, I hope the square jaw has been naturally reduced while still leaving some mandibular angle under the ear, and even if sagging occurs, I hope it won't be too noticeable. When will the severe swelling go down?
