I finally got zygoma reduction and square-jaw surgery! I had been stressed about it for a long time, and whenever I took photos I always covered my face or Photoshopped them. My wish was to be able to wear my hair completely slicked back just once~ Since facial contouring itself is a major surgery, safety is really important, so after visiting many hospitals for consultations! I had it done at a place that was kind and pointed out only the areas I really needed~ On the day of surgery, I went to the hospital, washed my face, changed clothes, prepared myself mentally, and got on the operating table. About 4 hours passed, and immediately after surgery it was really hard! Everyone says right after surgery is really hard, and now I understand why they say that. It hurt and was so difficult to the point that I wondered why I had surgery~ My jaw hurt too, and until day 3 my throat hurt so much, and I had so much bloody phlegm and nosebleeds that I used an enormous amount of tissuesㅎㄷㄷ I had to sleep sitting up and couldn't sleep properly; when my head got lower, it felt heavy and uncomfortable, so I couldn't sleep. The discomfort was no joke! The sore throat and things like that got better by day 4, and my mouth was so swollen that it was hard to talk and even hard to use mouthwash~ For one week, I mainly ate thin rice gruel, soy milk, and foods without particles~ Now I can eat rice well~ Hard foods are still difficult because I don't have strength, so I can't chew them well, but I can eat things like soft sausage or steamed egg~ I think it was at the one-week mark when I went to get the staples removed from my head, and there was so little pain that I barely felt anything! After one week, I met friends and went out and about~ Pumpkin porridge, pumpkin juice, and warm/cold compresses are good for swelling, but I don't think anything is as good as walking~ After I walk, the swelling visibly goes down, so I walk 2 hours a day! I still have swelling beside my cheeks like I have candy in my mouth. When will this go down? After surgery, people around me have said a lot that my impression looks softer and that I look kinder, so I'm happy~ I want the swelling to go down quickly so I can go around without wearing a maskㅠㅠ As my face gradually gets smaller, I feel more excited and happy as time passes! I'm uploading photos from before surgery and photos taken at 2 weeks! Please look at the swelling in both cheeks~
