I had non-extraction orthodontic treatment for 3 years. I went to the clinic where someone I know had gotten braces. Most of my friends around me who had orthodontic treatment had teeth extracted, so I went in thinking I would also need extractions, but the doctor said: "You have enough space, and if we extract teeth, your teeth may actually end up looking retruded." I paid on the spot and started orthodontic treatment. Ah! With non-extraction orthodontic treatment, you’ll probably have your wisdom teeth removed during treatment! ^^ They told me I would probably have to wear elastics for a long time, and out of the 3 years I had braces, I spent 2 years and 6 months with elastics.. yep.... You have to wear the elastics consistently for the orthodontic treatment to finish quickly. I had 4 screws placed in my gums, left and right, upper and lower, and at the very beginning of treatment, how should I put it... blocks? They attached something like that to my teeth, so I had a hard time My teeth are quite large, so they shaved them down a lot (I think it ranks in the top 3 pains of orthodontic treatment). I’m satisfied with the orthodontic results, and people around me ask where I got it done haha
P.S. Clear aligners have a very limited range of use. If your front teeth are just sli-ghtly crooked. Like, people around you say, "Do you really need braces for that much...?" That level? If your teeth are very protruded or look like Dracula’s (a case like mine), don’t force yourself into clear aligners or whatever; it’s better to get ceramic braces or metal train tracks I also have a friend who had partial orthodontic treatment, and partial orthodontic treatment doesn’t give the feeling of "Wow!!! your teeth are totally straight!!!!" like full orthodontic treatment. It’s more like, "Uh... for someone who didn’t get braces, your teeth are pretty straight?" (I found out later that they had braces.) That kind of feeling haha I hope you make a wise choice!
