The doctor is definitely professional and explains the removal process well, but when I asked about removing the silicone, he said the bridge could become flat and the tip could turn into a bulbous nose, and that if I didn't like that, I'd need to keep the silicone in the bridge. For the tip, he didn't say he would make sure it wouldn't become a bulbous nose, so I was shocked thinking, then would I also end up like that if I removed the silicone? I looked again at his blog later, and it seems he does align the cartilage so it doesn't become a bulbous nose, but maybe he intentionally doesn't give a firm assurance that it won't become a bulbous nose and just explains case after case. At another place, they said my nose was tilted, but I don't know whether the doctor noticed and didn't mention it because it wasn't a big issue, or whether he didn't notice it... I went in urgently because the silicone was crooked, the tip cartilages felt pressed and pulled, and it sometimes hurt when irritated, but he said it didn't look urgently bad and that it would probably be okay to do it when something actually happens, lol. I wondered whether it was even okay to wait until something happened to do it... lol. He also showed me photos of silicone breaking through into the nostril area, and I thought maybe he should be telling people to get it fixed before it gets to that point lol He said removal would be done safely, so I'm thinking maybe I could remove the Medpor and silicone in the tip and just replace the bridge silicone, but I'm worried about whether he'll be able to make the bridge shape pretty well, and the reviews saying he uses full sedation until the end of surgery are a little on my mind.
