My nose was originally on the large side, so even though the nose height was quite substantial, my nasal bridge looked almost nonexistent.
My alae were excessively thick, so I also had alar reduction done.
Since there definitely isn’t a silicone implant, I think advantages include the feel, comfort in daily life, and how natural it looks externally.
But that also means it doesn’t look very obvious.
I had a slight hump, so they shaved that down, and to reduce the broad-looking nasal bridge, they osteotomized the nasal bones and pushed them inward.
As far as I remember, they did not use pins.
I definitely like the shape of my nose, but since the wide nasal bones don’t completely disappear, the boundary between the nasal bridge and the alar area is somewhat divided. (It’s not enough to bother me much.)
One thing that’s a little disappointing is that I have a lot of blackheads, so I touched my nose a lot, and maybe scar tissue formed on my nose, because my alae have gotten thicker again than before.
I think the habit of touching the nose too much is not good, whether after surgery or before.
