Because of the ear cartilage, my nasal tip is still thick, and I had AlloDerm placed at the step-off between the nasal tip and bridge. If the AlloDerm doesn’t absorb, does the thick area remain as it is after adhesions have formed? And during my revision surgery, I was told I had severe adhesions (ear cartilage was used in my first surgery). If the adhesions are severe during removal too, is there a high chance of developing a saddle nose? I don’t think septal cartilage was used
A Everyone, why do you want to remove AlloDerm? Is it because it isn’t getting absorbed?? For removal, this has to be open, right? Doesn’t a non-open approach work?
