Liposuction Reviews

Over 3 weeks after arm, bra-line, and hump-back liposuction at Model Line Gangnam

I had always carried more fat on my upper arms than elsewhere, but after gaining weight and losing my body shape, fat accumulated noticeably on my arms and back. I felt that even losing weight and correcting my body shape would not fully resolve it. The volume made me look much larger in clothes, which was stressful, so my family strongly recommended liposuction. I chose the clinic my family had attended, and they recommended it because they had had no complications. Since I came from far away, I had a consultation and surgery on the same day. I was worried, but [Doctor A] explained everything thoroughly, so I was able to proceed without anxiety. I originally planned to treat only my upper arms, but there was fat accumulated on my upper back below the neck due to my uneven body shape. They said liposuction could also refine that area, so I decided that day to include the hump-back and bra-line areas. Looking back, doing everything at once was a good decision. I was worried about scars because there were more incisions, so I added Dermabond as recommended. Perhaps thanks to that, the scars on the back of my neck and upper arms have faded considerably, so I think I can worry less. Only the incision at the front of the armpit is somewhat raised, so I will continue applying ointment and receive scar treatment later. This clinic normally does not use compression garments, but they recommended one for my skin, so I added it. Because I was wearing it, during days 3–5 after surgery the swelling moved down below the garment, and my lower arms and hands became like Doraemon’s hands, with my wrists disappearing and no bones visible. I was so worried I wondered if they might burst. I walked diligently, which is said to help swelling, and drank coconut water three times a day, and the swelling subsided well. I did not buy separate swelling medicine from the pharmacy; those two things alone helped the major swelling go down. I assumed my body felt stiff because I was immediately post-op and wearing the garment, so I only walked and did not stretch. My body quickly stiffened at first. The clinic told me to massage diligently with a gua sha, so I immediately began massaging with the gua sha and my hands and stretching, which loosened everything. I think stretching from the early stage is important for everyone. Until week 2, I was focused on taking the prescribed medicine diligently and did not even think about whether I was satisfied that I had undergone liposuction. After that, as I entered week 3 (the attached photos were taken just after passing week 2!), and now in week 4, my clothes fit and look completely different, so I am very satisfied! Most importantly, I am not sad when I take photos. Before, my front view was fine, but from the side I looked so much larger, and it was really upsetting. They say the swelling will continue to go down, so I am looking forward to it.
