I think it’s been about 8 years now since I had orthodontic treatment. I had a protruding mouth and a slightly recessed chin, so I had 4 teeth extracted at a dental clinic in Sinchon and had braces for quite a long time. I hated the idea of them being visible on the outside, so I got lingual braces, and overall I’m satisfied. The doctor said I needed to continue a bit longer, but it was taking too long, and I was scared of ending up with a sunken-mouth look (?), so I just had the appliances removed. Thinking about it now, I wish I had just finished the whole treatment. There has been some relapse... I’m not good about wearing my retainer either. Anyway, when the lower face changes, your impression really does change dramatically. If you have a protruding mouth, I really recommend doing it...
