Three or four years ago, I had 3 mm silicone in the bridge and donated rib cartilage plus ear cartilage in the tip. Because the tip cartilage is showing through, I went for a consultation about revision with autologous costal cartilage, but they suggested using autologous dermis because the cartilage was visible. I’m worried the dermis might be absorbed later.. If I remove the silicone and put only autologous costal cartilage in the tip, do I still need dermis, or could the cartilage show through even with only autologous costal cartilage? Should I remove everything and have revision surgery, or just do dermis plus autologous costal cartilage What should I do?
