Nose Re-Surgery

One-month follow-up after complete removal

My first surgery was at a famous clinic in Apgujeong, even earlier than the 2002 World Cup, using Gore-Tex and ear cartilage. Can you guess how old my case is? One day, I followed a friend who suddenly appeared looking prettier for no apparent reason and had surgery with the same doctor. When I went to get a copy of my surgical chart this time, I saw that it was exactly the same month 25 years ago. I think I also had it removed before Chuseok back then and took a long vacation. I had an image with a harmonious forehead and bridge that was not particularly high, somewhat like Jeon Do-yeon. A close older coworker hurt my feelings by saying I looked prettier before surgery, but having a low bridge was a complex for me, so I lived fairly happily with it. I got married and had a child with my surgical nose, and lived well for over 25 years. This time, while having it removed, I’m glad I had confessed to having cosmetic surgery before marriage. Otherwise, I might almost have been treated as having committed marriage fraud during removal lol. I decided on removal because inflammation inside my nose had continued without healing since spring, and around summer I felt pressure pain I had never experienced before, like a cramp in my nose. I realized it probably wasn’t an ENT issue. I couldn’t sleep and felt anxious.. From then on, I searched for complications of rhinoplasty, which I had never even thought about before, and looked into clinics. At my age, I thought I would be interested in lifting or anti-aging, but I never dreamed I would be looking into nose removal. As a resident of Gyeonggi Province with a busy livelihood, I had neither the time nor the energy to visit several clinics, so I consulted only one and decided. I no longer cared about looking pretty to anyone; health was the top priority, reconstruction was unnecessary, and I planned to decide immediately if the removal could be kept simple and the clinic schedule was not excessively busy. The clinic was [Clinic A], which had moved from Hongdae to Apgujeong. Some people in this community say the disadvantages are having to pay a reservation deposit and only receiving palpation, but I thought those were advantages. If the clinic’s booking system had a low barrier to entry, it would be too busy, and if it performed many surgeries, would it really be able to focus on me? I had already had a CT at an ENT clinic, so I knew it would not show much. Cosmetic surgery forums have many obvious promotional posts, so I relied heavily on genuine personal blog records. As the doctor also confirmed and said from the photos, I can barely notice any difference from before. They repositioned the cartilage, so my nostrils may actually look slightly slimmer than my original nose. The removed nose seems to suit my face better. It feels as if I found my lost twenties face. Natural is still best lol. The severe contraction that began around week four seems to be improving very slightly as I enter week five, but I suppose I need to watch it for several more months. They taught me how to massage it, so I’ll make an effort. When everyone is confused about which clinic is good, I think it helps to set the priorities of your surgery clearly and make a checklist. The more places you visit, the more confused you become and the more indecisive you get, so it seems best to refer to cases similar to your own. The right clinic for you will not be the same as for someone else, so please use this old woman’s experience only as a reference. What I realized this time is that cosmetic beauty has an expiration date! With a nose, breathing is more important than shape!! Beauty that interferes with breathing is worthless!!! And if you think you have inflammation, go to a clinic as soon as possible; it seems to minimize both the cost and the burden on your body~~ I hope everyone who is beautiful just as they are has a successful surgery~
