After a nasal revision surgery 2 years ago, I had ongoing inflammation inside my nose. Recently, at another hospital, I had only the inflammation removed through a closed, non-incisional approach, but the inflammation has recurred again.
The doctor in charge said we would probably only know after opening it up, but if I wanted, we could try removing only the inflamed area. So for the time being, I proceeded that way, but it recurred again.
While looking at the CT, the doctor said that at the hospital where I had the previous revision surgery, when they corrected the nasolabial angle, around the lower part of the columella! So, from the outside, maybe the area above the philtrum? Around there, it seems like they put something in, and because of that, the inflammation seems to be occurring continuously. They said we should open everything up and do revision surgery.
When I actually looked at the CT, that area looked dark, as if there was some kind of foreign material there. They said they would only know what was inserted to raise it after opening it up...
The reason I had the revision surgery was because the silicone implant was moving after my first surgery, but the silicone is still moving... Honestly, the shape is not bad, so I could just live like this, but I have been suffering from inflammation for 2 years, so it feels like I am living with a time bomb. The director currently in charge says it is right to remove everything and redo it. Since the silicone is moving too.. First of all, the part causing the inflammation absolutely has to be found and removed, and then reconstruction has to be done..
But since this would be another revision surgery and would use autologous rib cartilage, the hospital cost is... It is such a burden.. I do not have any major functional problems, so I am not in a situation where functional rhinoplasty can be included, and it is hard to bear this large cost all by myself..
Has anyone received actual medical expense insurance coverage with the help of a loss adjuster, or if I get a good medical opinion letter from the doctor, would I be able to receive even partial actual expense coverage?? If anyone has experienced this, please reply Please
Over the past 2 years, I even went to two university hospitals.. I lived on antibiotics almost every day, so I am so exhausted Revision surgery is the only answer, but honestly, if it were not for the inflammation, I would not need to do it...
